Fried Shrimp with Soysauce-Honey dipping sauce

Fried Shrimp with Dipping Sauce

The fried shrimp is a great contrast to the salty sweet dipping sauce.

Dipping Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sesame oil
  • A few chili flakes

Fried shrimp
Batter:
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon of se salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of red paper flakes
  • 1 1/2 cups of club soda
Shrimp:
  • 8-12 raw, easy peel tiger shrimp
  • Peanut oil or vegetable oil in your fryer
  • (Optional) 3 fresh long chillies, stems removed, seedless and 1 tbsp of fish sauce
Directions:
1. Heat up the oil in your fryer.
2. Dip the shrimp into the batter and roll it around till the whole shrimp is covered in batter.
3. When your oil has finished heating, put in the shrimp into the fryer.
4.  Fry about four shrimp at a time. You don't want the shrimp to be too crowded.
5. Take the shrimp out and put them onto a paper towel to cool.
6. Enjoy!
