Regular and Buttermilk Pancakes

Learn how to make pancakes by watching this video
Video by Jenny and David

Two normal pancakes, a pancake dyed with purple food coloring, maple syrup and vanilla yogurt.

Who doesn't love eating pancakes for breakfast? I've always used the recipe from Betty Crocker's cookbook. As of 2014, I've experimented with adding protein powder in my pancakes, using egg whites etc to give myself more of a protein boost, but to be honest, all it does it modify the taste and make your pancakes a little bit softer and a less desirable consistency. If you are going to eat pancakes, then eat NORMAL pancakes.

Pancakes
Ingredients:
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla (The recipe does not call for this, but I've always added vanilla. Makes the pancakes sweeter).
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar (I usually add another one)
  • 3 teaspoons of baking powder
  •  1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • You can add in blueberries, bananas or any other ingredient of your preference with the batter.
Directions:
  • Always start with your runny ingredients first.
